PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: October 28, 2026
1. WHO WE ARE
Quack Track, LLC, a Kansas limited liability company headquartered in Wichita, Kansas (called in this Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) “Quack Track”, “we”, “us”, “our” or words of similar meaning), is an outdoor lifestyle company committed to helping waterfowl and migratory bird hunters plan and log hunts, monitor harvest against bag limits, review summaries of state and federal hunting regulations, hunt alongside others, check weather and maps, share migration sightings, and use related tools. Built on the conviction that a deep understanding of the natural world enriches all of our lives, Quack Track works to deliver premium content experiences for its users.
2. WHAT THIS PRIVACY POLICY COVERS
We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains, among other things, what “Personal Information” we gather about you, how we gather it, how we use it, including to whom we disclose it and why, the steps we take to safeguard it, and the options available to you regarding our use of it. The term “Personal Information” is defined below.
This Privacy Policy applies to all of our services where it is posted and referenced, including our website(s), currently located at www.quacktrack.com, our newsletter, our mobile app (the “App”) (all collectively, the “Site” or “Sites”), and our customer support services (collectively, and including the features offered through our Site, the “Services”).
Job Applicants and Employees
This Privacy Policy does not cover our employees or job applicants in connection with their employment or job search activities.
The QuackTrack App
This section describes how the App collects, uses and shares information. Where it differs from the rest of this Privacy Policy, this section controls for the App.
Information the App collects
•Account information: your name, email address, mobile phone number (required at sign-up), profile photo, home state and hunting zones.
•Hunt and harvest information: the hunts you start or schedule; the birds you log by species and count; the date, time and location of each hunt; weather conditions; the hunters and dogs in a hunt; and your notes and tags.
•Photos: photos you add to a hunt, a dog or your profile, and photos you submit for species identification.
•Precise location: with your permission, and only while you are using the App, your device’s precise location. It is read when you start a hunt, use the maps, file a report, look up your zone or drop a map pin, and is used to place hunts and map markers, look up local weather, and show the regulations and zone that apply where you are. The App does not collect your location in the background. You can turn off location access at any time in your device settings; some features will not work without it.
•Map markers: locations you save, such as hunt spots, blinds and food sources.
•Invites and hunting buddies: to help you find other hunters, the App searches QuackTrack users by name, email address or phone number. When you invite someone who is not yet a user, we store the name and phone number you enter; the invitation text message is sent from your own phone’s messaging app.
•Migration reports: waterfowl sightings you choose to report.
•Support assistant conversations: the messages you send to the in-app support assistant, and the account context described below.
•Purchases: your membership plan, status and renewal dates. App Store purchases are processed by Apple; we do not receive your payment card details. Website purchases are processed by Stripe.
•Notifications: your push notification token and a per-install device identifier, used to send hunt invitations, alerts and other notifications you turn on.
•Error reports: when something goes wrong in the App, an error report (such as the error details, App version and device type) is sent to our own servers so we can fix it.
•Reports, blocks and feedback: reports you submit through “Report an Issue” or about other users’ content, users you choose to block, and messages you send us.
The App does not include third-party analytics, crash-reporting or advertising software.
What other QuackTrack users can see
Nothing in the App is published on the open web. “Public” below means visible to other signed-in QuackTrack users.
•Group hunts: hunters in the same group hunt see each other’s names and profile photos, the birds each hunter logs, and the hunt’s photos, notes, location and weather.
•Scheduled hunts: people you invite see the host, title, notes, meeting location and time.
•Your profile: signed-in users can see your name, profile photo and membership plan. Your hunting buddies, dogs and stats each have their own privacy setting, which you can change at any time.
•Map markers: each marker can be private, shared with a hunt, shared with everyone you have hunted with, or shared with people you choose.
•Game leaderboard: if you play the App’s game, your score is shown with your first name and last initial.
•Migration reports: private by default. If you mark a report public, it is shown with your name and profile photo. Private reports only contribute, in combined form, to the migration activity map, in areas of roughly 55 kilometers where several different hunters have reported, so an individual report cannot be located.
AI features
The App’s support assistant and photo species identification use artificial intelligence models provided by Anthropic. We ask for your consent before your first use.
•Support assistant: we send Anthropic your messages, the recent conversation, the results of lookups the assistant makes (such as regulations), and account context: your first name, home state and zones, membership plan and whether it is active, today’s date in your state, and whether a hunt is in progress and how many hunters are in it.
•Species identification: we send the photo you submit and our list of species. No account information is sent.
Anthropic processes this information on our behalf under its Commercial Terms of Service, which do not permit Anthropic to train its models on this information. Anthropic keeps it for up to 30 days and may review it during that time only for safety and security purposes. If you ask the support assistant to pass your conversation to our team, we will read it to help you. AI output can be wrong; see Section 4 of our Terms of Use.
Service providers the App uses
These providers may use the information only to provide their services to us:
•Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage (all account and App data, including photos).
•Anthropic: the support assistant and species identification, as described above.
•Apple: App Store purchases and push notification delivery (purchase records, push tokens).
•RevenueCat: subscription management (your user ID, name, email address, phone number and purchase status).
•Stripe: website payments (website subscribers’ billing details).
•Expo: push notification delivery and App updates (push tokens and notification content).
•OpenWeather: weather for your hunts (the hunt’s latitude and longitude, sent from our servers).
•Mapbox: maps (map tile requests, which reveal the area viewed and your IP address).
•Resend: sign-up codes, password resets, and notices to our team about reported content (your email address; for content reports, the reporting and reported users).
If you tap Directions on a map marker, its coordinates are opened in Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze, whose own privacy policies apply.
No tracking or advertising in the App
The App does not share your information with advertising networks or data brokers, does not show third-party ads, does not use Apple’s advertising identifier, and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. The advertising, cookie and “sale or sharing” practices described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy apply to our website, not the App.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the App (Menu > Account > Delete Account) or by emailing support@quacktrack.com. When you confirm, we immediately delete your profile, phone number, zones, the hunts only you took part in, photos, notes, map markers, dogs, buddies, invites, migration reports, notifications, push tokens, support assistant conversations and purchase records, along with your stored files and your sign-in. We also delete your records at RevenueCat and, for website subscribers, cancel your subscription and delete your records at Stripe.
Some information stays so the service keeps working for others: hunts you shared with other hunters remain, with you shown as “Removed User” and the birds you logged still counted in that hunt’s totals; reports filed about you remain with your identity removed; and our administrative logs are kept with your identity removed. Deleted data is removed from our database backups within 7 days.
Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel it in your Apple ID settings; the App shows a Manage Apple Subscription button for this.
Your choices in the App
•Device permissions: change location, camera, photo and notification access at any time in your device settings.
•Visibility: choose who can see your buddies, dogs, stats, map markers and migration reports in the App’s privacy settings.
•Marketing messages: marketing email and text messages are optional; unsubscribe by link or reply STOP.
•AI features: the support assistant and species identification are optional. If you decline consent, the rest of the App still works.

Our Services are not intended for children, and children are not permitted to use our Services. 9. COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGY
9.1 How We Use Tracking Technologies
Like many other companies, we use Cookies and other Tracking Technologies to monitor activity on our Site and store certain information. The Tracking Technologies we may use include the following: The App does not use cookies or similar technologies for advertising or tracking.
•Cookies or Browser Cookies: A Cookie is a small file stored on your computer or other device. You can tell your browser to refuse all Cookies or to notify you when a Cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept Cookies, you may be unable to use some parts of our Service. Unless you have set your browser to refuse Cookies, our Service will use Cookies.
•Web Beacons: Certain pages of our Site and our emails may contain small electronic files called web beacons (also known as clear gifs, pixels, and single-pixel gifs) that allow us, among other things, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email and to compile other related website statistics (such as measuring the popularity of a certain section and verifying system and server integrity).
Cookies can be “Persistent” or “Session” Cookies. Persistent Cookies stay on your personal computer or other device when you go offline, while Session Cookies are erased as soon as you close your web browser. We use both Session and Persistent Cookies for the purposes described below:
•Strictly Necessary Cookies: Strictly Necessary Cookies are a Session Cookie. These Cookies support basic functions on the Sites, such as page navigation and access to secure areas of the Sites. The Sites cannot work properly without these Cookies. For that reason, Strictly Necessary Cookies are always collected regardless of your Cookie settings. Examples of how we use Strictly Necessary Cookies include:
•Maintaining your Site session state across page requests;
•Spreading traffic to the Site across several servers to improve response times and your experience;
•Recognizing trusted web traffic to keep the Site secure;
•Saving your Cookie consent state for the Site you are currently visiting.
•Functional/Preference Cookies: Functional (also called Preference) Cookies are a Persistent Cookie. They allow the Sites to remember information that changes how the Sites behave or look during your visit, such as your preferred language, the font text appears in, or the region you are in. Preference Cookies are used to create a unique user ID that recognizes you on return visits to improve and personalize your experience on our Sites. We use Preference Cookies in several ways, including:
•Offering users a more personalized experience with more relevant content and content recommendations;
•Making it easier for users to log in to use the Site;
•Remembering information about a user's browser and settings preferences, such as preferred language, to make your experience more functional and customized;
•Improving the experience of using the Site, such as remembering the sound volume level the user selected;
•Testing different versions of the Site to learn which features or content users prefer in order to optimize the Site;
•Allowing you to log in or stay logged in to access the Site, protecting user accounts against fraudulent log-ins by others, and helping detect and guard against abuse or unauthorized use of user accounts.
•Performance/Statistics Cookies: Performance (also called Statistics) Cookies are a Persistent Cookie. They help us understand how visitors interact with the Sites by collecting and reporting information anonymously. Examples of how we use Statistics Cookies include:
•Anonymously recording details about your browser and computer through a website such as Google Analytics;
•Collecting anonymous data about your visits to the Site, such as the number of visits, average time spent on the website and which pages have been loaded, to produce reports for optimizing the Site's content;
•Identifying what type of device (smartphones, tablets, computers, TVs etc.) is being used to access the Site;
•Collecting anonymous, technical information about your browser, operating system, IP address and screen resolution as well as your navigation on the website.
9.2 Performance Cookies We Use
Google Analytics
We may use Google Analytics, a web analytics service offered by Google, Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyze how users interact with our Sites, compile reports on their activity, and provide other services related to their activity and usage. The technologies Google uses may collect information such as your IP address, time of visit, whether you are a returning visitor, and any referring website. Information generated by Google Analytics is sent to and stored by Google and is subject to Google's privacy policies. To learn more about Google's partner services and how to opt out of analytics tracking by Google, click here.
OneSignal
If you choose to allow browser notifications on our website, we use OneSignal, a web push notification service, to deliver them. 9.3 Third-Party Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
Some content or applications on our Sites, including advertisements, may be delivered by advertisers, ad networks and servers, content providers, application providers and other third parties. These third parties may use Cookies to collect and store information about you when you use or interact with one of our Sites, marketing communications, advertising content and third-party websites.
The information they collect may be linked to your Personal Information, or they may collect information, including Personal Information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to show you interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content. They may also use Tracking Technologies to measure how effective advertisements are, to personalize advertising content, and to serve you advertisements relevant to your regional location. We may also use information collected through third party cookies and beacons on the Services and in our emails to show advertising about our Services when you visit third party websites.
We do not control these third parties' Tracking Technologies or how they are used. For information about how to opt out of receiving targeted advertising, see the discussion below in the Section "How to Manage Your Privacy Rights."
9.4 How You Can Opt Out of Cookies
When you first visit one of our Sites, you will see a banner that gives you choices about whether to accept or reject Cookies or Tracking Technologies of different types. To manage your Cookie settings, please use the Cookie banner on our Sites or click here. A pop-up window will appear where you may opt out of certain Cookies.
The Sites recognize the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal, a browser-based opt-out preference signal that communicates your privacy preferences to the websites you visit. If you use a browser setting or plug-in that sends an opt-out preference signal to every website you visit, we will treat it as a valid opt-out request. To download and use a browser that supports the GPC signal, click here: https://globalprivacycontrol.org/orgs. If you choose to use the GPC signal, you will need to enable it for each supported browser or browser extension you use. In addition, the Global Privacy Control will only opt you out of the disclosure of your cookie-based personal information, data sale, and targeted advertising. To learn more about your choices regarding the disclosure of your non-cookie based personal information and other types of data sharing, please see the Section "How to Manage Your Privacy Rights" below.
10. HOW TO MANAGE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Subject to our legal requirements and legitimate business needs, we aim to give you choices about the Personal Information you provide to us. We have put in place the following ways for you to control your information:
•Marketing Materials and Subscriptions: If you no longer wish to receive certain marketing materials (e.g., email messages), you can opt out by following the unsubscribe instructions included in the materials. For text messages, reply to any text message with the word "STOP", or follow the instructions included in text messages from Quack Track. Please note that these options do not apply to communications mainly intended for administering orders, contracts, support, product safety warnings, software updates, or other administrative and transactional notices.
•Tracking Technologies: You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to notify you when cookies are being sent. We may work with third parties, such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), that collect and use information about your website activity over time and across our Site and non-affiliated websites, including on different devices and browsers. These third parties may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and other similar technology to collect this information, and use it to infer your interests and show relevant advertising to your browser or device, and to browsers or devices linked to it. This practice is known as interest-based advertising. We do not control these third parties' collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, these third parties may offer you ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way, such as https://adssettings.google.com. You can opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative ("NAI") on the NAI's website as well as from members of the Digital Advertising Alliance here.
When you make choices through these tools, you will still see advertising, but it may be less relevant to you. After you make your choices, data will no longer be collected from your browser or device for interest-based advertising on that browser or device, or on associated browsers or devices. In addition, data from those associated browsers and devices will not be used for interest-based advertising on the browser or device on which you made your choices. Data may still be collected for other purposes, such as analytics, reporting, and research. If you delete your cookies, or use multiple browsers or devices, you will need to set your opt-out choices again.
Some devices and browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (or, DNT) feature, a privacy preference you can set in certain web browsers that is meant to signal to websites and services that you do not want to be tracked across the different websites or online services you visit. Please note that we cannot control how third-party websites or online services you visit through our website respond to Do Not Track signals. Review the privacy policies of those third parties for information about their privacy practices.
11. OUR RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We keep Personal Information about you for as long as needed to provide the Services to you or to fulfill the business purpose and need for which it was collected, as described in this Privacy Policy or explained when we collected the information. This includes maintaining and improving the performance of our Services, keeping our Services secure, and keeping appropriate business and financial records. Most of our retention periods are set based on this general rule.
If we process Personal Information based on consent (including consent to extended storage), we keep the data for as long as necessary to process it in line with your consent or until you withdraw your consent.
We also keep and use Personal Information to protect and enforce our rights and to meet our legal obligations. Legal requirements (such as record retention requirements or litigation holds) may require us to keep some or all of the Personal Information we hold for a longer period, even after our business purpose or need has ended.
12. LINKS TO THIRD PARTY SITES AND SERVICES
Our Site may include links to third-party sites, podcasts and other services. These third-party sites and services may include features such as apps, tools, and widgets. We offer these links and services as a convenience and to enrich your experience with our Sites and your enjoyment of the outdoors. However, offering these links and services should not be read as Quack Track endorsing any third party's products, sites or services. We do not endorse particular third parties or their goods or services, whether or not those third parties offer goods or services on any of our Sites. We also make no guarantee about the accuracy, content or quality of information provided by third-party sites, and we accept no responsibility for unintended, objectionable, inaccurate, misleading, or unlawful content that may appear on any third-party site or be communicated through any third-party service.
Any relationship between you and these third parties will be governed solely by the terms the third party offers and you accept. If you give third parties any Personal Information or other information, their use of it will be subject to their privacy policies, if any, and not to this Privacy Policy. In addition, if you accept third-party goods or services advertised on either of our Sites, a third party may be able to tell that you have a relationship with us (e.g., if the offer is made only through one of our Sites). We suggest reviewing their privacy policies to learn about their privacy practices, including the Personal Information they may collect about you.
For clarity, if we provide links to social media platforms, such as Facebook or YouTube, and you choose to visit those websites through our links, please note that the information you post, send or otherwise make available on those websites may be seen by the general public. We do not control user-posted content on social media homepages and are not responsible for any third-party use of information you have posted, sent or otherwise made available there.
13. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS – DISCLOSURES FOR ADDITIONAL JURISDICTIONS
Depending on your state of residence, in particular, if you live in Louisiana, Oklahoma (Effective 2027), Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah or Virginia, you have the following privacy rights regarding your Personal Information as of the date of this Privacy Policy:
•The right to confirm whether we are processing your Personal Information and to access that Personal Information, subject to certain exceptions.
